In July 2024, CloudNC released a new update to CAM Assist, our tech solution that accelerates CNC programming, saving manufacturers 300 production hours a year.
The update means CAM Assist is now available for Mastercam - meaning even more machinists across the world can benefit from its productivity gains and efficiencies.
The media has again responded positively to the news, with CAM Assist updates now being regularly featured in the global manufacturing press. (You can see previous round-ups for Cutting Parameters here, for 3+2 axis coverage here, and for the initial CAM Assist release here and here).
New Mastercam highlights include:
- Coverage in leading US machining publications Digital Engineering and Today's Machining World, as well as international articles in India's The Machine Maker and Japan's Managetech
- In the UK, the major manufacturing publications all covered the news, including coverage in Machinery, Engineering Update, Production Engineering Solutions, Metrology News, Devellop3D and MEM
- Production Engineering Solutions and Aerospace Manufacturing also conducted a recent in-depth Q&A with CloudNC CTO Andy Cheadle, on how we ensure that our solutions fit in with machinists' workflows
- In the tech press, Silicon UK conducted a lengthy interview with CloudNC co-founder Theo Saville on how to apply AI effectively to manufacturing, and where we are in that process
- And finally, the main US machining press, Modern Machine Shop, noted that our CAM Assist solution will be a substantive part of Autodesk's showcase at major industry event IMTS in September
We'll also be holding a webinar with Modern Machine Shop on Aug 28 as they get to grips with why our solution is such a step change for the industry - you can sign up for that here.
Can't wait till then? If you’re interested in learning about where the idea for CAM Assist came from in the first place, here’s the origin story, as told by Theo himself.
