CAM Assist is a cloud-based software solution for CAM programming 3-axis prismatic parts - currently available as an add-on to users on macOS or Windows with a Fusion 360 license. The CAM software can instantly produce machining strategies and support reduction in CAM programming time, enable resource efficiency and support new CAD/CAM users with onboarding.
How does CAM Assist output toolpaths?
CAM Assist analyses your preferred tool library and the geometrical data of the part you’re trying to CAM. It uses deep tech computational techniques to generate the best possible outcome based upon the geometry of the part and your tool library - this can run into the thousands, if not millions of combinations. It produces a well-organised sequence that allows you to edit the result further if required. CAM Assist is the culmination of 8 years of testing, and refining the technology used within CloudNC’s factory in the UK.
Will CAM Assist help me use a new CAM package?
Yes!! The software is simple and easy to use making it the perfect tool to help junior programmers, those new to a CAM package and those in the education sector onboard faster. If you’re unfamiliar with Fusion 360, we make this process easy; simply select your toolkit, your part and CAM Assist can do the rest - helping you learn while you’re still creating parts.
How do I get the most out of CAM Assist?

Will CAM Assist work in languages other than English?
CAM Assist is only available in English at launch.
Where is the data stored?
We use AWS cloud as our provider. Data is stored and processed in alignment with GDPR. If you have any further questions on this please contact camassist@cloudnc.com.
Are there any restrictions on my use of CAM Assist?
Once a license is purchased it is expected that you comply with our policies outlined in our privacy policy, which can be found on the terms and conditions on our website.
How is the data from CAM Assist used and shared?
The data from CAM Assist inputted by customers is contained within their own instance and not shared with any other person/user. The only exception to this is where section 14 of the customer agreement where the customer grants CloudNC permission to use the Customer Data and results for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform and the Services for other users.
Do I need a new post processor?
No - CAM Assist works directly with the CAM package that you already have.
How can a customer contribute?
